Design ideas for film credits

The designs below the last three are design ideas for film credits at the end to show. Whether these ideas will just an art design in the corner or whether we will have simple animation like a bird feather flown across the page.

The Bird design work and layout finished

I have uploaded some more design work of the character Tilly that i have done in my sketchbook, trying out different poses and different angles. But i think i am getting much better of getting Vickys style of Tilly. I have also done a layout that i re did because it needed a grass texture on the ground instead of the savannah. 

This week.....

I have been working on Distance creating a shot list for Sammy-Jo Tawn the director of the Stop motion film. I have also been doing some layouts for the bird doing some savannah shots from different angles for the African scenes.

Practice of the character designs

Now i have been practicing the character design for Tilly, making sure i have the same design to Vicky to keep the characters consistent. Looking at the shapes and lines of the character. This process is good because it will help me when i do the in-betweens.

This week i have been working on backgrounds and textures because some of the backgrounds are basic colour so i got asked to do that and experiment as well with textures for example motion blur, grass textures etc 

Updated the Animatic

Here is an update of the animatic with the storyboard frames added in to help with the story. I then edited the frames into the animatic, sorting out the timing and adding colour onto the frames.

Shot list

Also in this last week i updated the shot list, which i add in more shots in the story and has now got a description of each layout and also what type of camera shot it needs to be to get the right angle. By making this shot it has made it easier for our team because the layout artists especially need to know the angle to place things.

From the new storyboard frames added i did some more designs of native clothing because we now have a native woman that gives Tilly necklace when Tilly is in Africa. 

England designs more.......

I have done more England designs, which includes doors, clothes designs and now starting on 1900 England manor houses. For the England designs and layout we want quirky but relating to the 1900 era. Also the colour palette we were thinking dark purples and murky greens.

So far this is what Anna has come up with from taking my designs. When me and Vicky first saw these designs we like the first tree you see, which our lecturer Derek liked and also the England designs we like the quirky style.

England designs

This last week i have been working on england designs that need to be in the background, for instance objects chairs, tables, wallpaper designs, windows, corsets etc. These designs are then going to be finalized by Anna. Also these designs will help Emily because she is doing the England layouts for us. Therefore we will have a consistent style so that the animation and design is not messy.
